South winds
ByIn St.Kitts the wind is pretty consistent and always blows from the east because we get steady trade winds. We got some south winds yesterday and today. It was nice to ride on the Caribbean side by Ziggy’s. The conditions weren’t the greatest but the beach was packed full of students for beach volley ball so it was good marketing to kite in front of them. Plus we won our volley ball games.
It was a great day!!!
Hi Jeff, I was wondering if you could provide me some advice on where to kite at St Kitts. I will be staying a week at the Mariott Vacation Club JUL 16th. I have a 12meter N kite, and I am a novice. I can ride but have not mastered staying upwind yet. Any advice? Thanks, Neal themews@ncrrbiz.com
Hi Neal,
You can ride right outside the Marriott hotel at a place called the lime bar. It usually is a cross onshore wind which is ideal for someone who can’t quite stay upwind. Also with in a 10 min drive there are 4 other beaches that you can also ride at with different conditions. If you email or call me when you arrive I will be happy to come out and have a session with you. See you soon

Hi Jeff, we got in last night and I am at the Marriott Vac Club Condo. I would like to link up ASAP to have to learn where to kite and get a lesson to maybe bring me to a new level. I can get up and ride some but have not learned to have got control or transition or stay up wind. When and where I kite in North myrtle Beach SC is always rough water with chop and surf break with no flats water to try and perfect my limited skills.
